New NCAA Recruiting Rules – Impact on Unofficial Visits, Official Visits, and Recruiting Conversations

New college athletic recruiting rules have been approved for implementation, as of April 2018, for all Division I sports except Football, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, and Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse. These sports have already established their own specific set of recruiting rules.

The following areas of a high school athlete’s recruiting experience will be affected. Set forth below are definitions and the rules changes for each of the designated recruiting activities.
