IECA Baltimore: Prospect Camp Presentation

Next week at the IECA Conference in Baltimore, the Student-Athlete Advisors team will be presenting a session called “Are Camps Valuable in Athletic Recruiting?”

This is a topic that comes up constantly with families, and the honest answer is: it depends.

Some camps can completely change a student-athlete’s recruiting process. Others are primarily revenue generators with little real recruiting value. In this session, we’ll break down how college coaches actually use camps, the economics behind them, the difference between development camps, ID camps, and showcase events, and the red flags families should watch for before spending thousands of dollars traveling around the country.

We’ll also talk through real recruiting case studies, communication strategies, roster realities, and practical ways IECs can help families determine whether a camp is truly a fit or simply “camp filler.”

If you’ll be in Baltimore next week, we’d love to see you there.
