Putting the Pieces Together - Athletic Recruitment Panel Discussion
Last week, a couple of the Student-Athlete Advisors had the chance to participate in a really meaningful panel on the college athletic recruiting process thank to Laurel Springs High School, and it was one of our favorite conversations of the year so far! Reid Meyer moderated the panel, and Amy Bryant was joined by three other incredible guests as panelists:
Claire Sheldon Richardson, a Harvard golf record-holder and college counselor
Sofia Corte‑Real, a current Wellesley tennis player and Army ROTC cadet
Jacob Olar, a first-year at the University of Alabama who’s already won eight collegiate doubles titles.
We talked about how much the recruiting process has changed, what student-athletes and families should know today, and how to stay grounded through it all. Their honesty, experience, and perspective made this panel something special, and we’re excited to share the full recording with you below.
