Meet Your Instructor: Keenan Hickton
Currently the Head Men’s Golf Coach at Sewanee: The University of the South, Keenan Hickton brings firsthand experience from both sides of the recruiting process — as a standout collegiate golfer and as a coach for one of the nation’s top programs.
Before joining Sewanee, Hickton spent six years as Assistant Coach at Emory University, where he helped guide the team to 22 tournament wins, including three University Athletic Association (UAA) titles. Under his leadership, Emory golfers achieved multiple All-American honors, a National Player of the Year, and even professional debuts on the PGA Korn Ferry Tour.
As a player, Hickton was a three-time UAA Champion and First-Team All-Conference selection, ranking among Emory’s top-10 all-time scorers. He also earned recognition as a two-time Srixon/Cleveland Golf Division III All-Scholar for his excellence in both academics and athletics.
